KeepBook is an iOS app for tracking spending and budgets, made by Soft Bloom, an independent studio. In this policy, "we" means Soft Bloom.
Nothing. KeepBook has no accounts and no servers of ours, and it sends us nothing about you.
Everything you enter stays in the app's private storage on your device. This includes your transactions, budgets, recurring rules, custom categories, warranty dates, the receipt photos you keep along with the text scanned from them, and your preferences.
This is off unless you turn it on. When it is on, your data syncs through your own private iCloud (Apple's CloudKit) to your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. It stays in your private iCloud, where we cannot see or reach it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can turn sync off at any time, and you can delete the iCloud copy from within the app.
KeepBook uses the camera only when you choose to scan a receipt. The text recognition runs entirely on your device, using Apple's Vision and, where available, Apple Intelligence, so the photo is never uploaded. Any receipts you keep are stored just like the rest of your data.
Reminders for subscription renewals and warranties are local notifications scheduled on your device. There is no push server.
If you use the share or CSV export features, your data goes only where you send it, through the standard iOS share sheet.
You can edit or delete any entry, erase everything from Settings, turn off sync and delete the iCloud copy, or delete the app to remove its data from that device.
If our data practices ever change, we will update this page and its "Last updated" date before the change ships.
